We have work to do: Minority Representation in US ARL University Libraries as of 2012-2013
ARL just came out with this poster Minority Representation in US ARL University Libraries as of 2012-2013: Taking a Closer Look at the Evidence.
The two findings that stand out for me are 1) that women still make less then their counterparts who are men and, 2) despite minority staff increasing since 2002, minorities are still vastly underrepresented in research libraries compared to the breakdown of the US population by race and ethnicity. Upshot: We still have a lot of work to do.
